So my mother in law is Portuguese and in my favorite magazine they had the cross stitch patterns of various country’s and I knew I just had to stitch the Portuguese flag for my mother in law I used soluble canvas as I stitched it onto felt and for my first ever time finishing a project with soluble canvas I was very happy with the results.

 

And the back is just boring but here is a picture.

 

I totally recommend soluble canvas very easy to use no  mess no hassle just great original results !

 

Rainbow Dash Cross Stitch

So for those of you who don’t know Rainbow Dash is from the TV series My Little Pony – Friendship is magic and there is a HUGE internet fandom surrounding the show my cousin is some of the fans and i suggested that i could cross stitch him a Dashy so he drew it for me and then i got it all stitched up!  I hope you all like her (: I will be stitching the other 5 pony’s so keep your eyes peeled!

I got this in my favorite cross stitch mag last August as a free gift! and I have only picked it up to do it in the last month and this is the finished result!!! I really enjoyed stitching this despite all of the half stitches, beautiful colours and a pleasure to stitch this will be one of many handmade Christmas gifts for my family this year (:

This was also in the same issue of my Cross Stitcher mag as you had two free gifts to choose from I chose the home sweet home one but went out last week to get the threads to stitch this lovely tattoo style swallow and he only took 2 days to stitch, this is also a Christmas gift all i need to do is buy the frames (:

I got this as a free gift in my favorite Cross Stitch Magazine (Cross Stitcher)  & I just had to stitch him, ( I don’t know what it is with me and owls lately!!!)  took me approximately 4-5 hours  with all the messing about i did in between but the end result is perfect he will go to a good home and brighten someones day up!

his beautiful completed cross stitch door hanger/ornament features a witch on her broomstick along with her cat. It is bordered by a green vine with orange flowers and has jack-o-lanterns in each corner..

I stitched this on 14 count beige Aida with DMC floss. The door hanger is backed with a homespun green and beige checked fabric.

Tempest in a Teacup

Here’s a pic of a completed Teresa Wentzler freebie I did called “Tempest in a Teacup”. :)

I used Silkweaver hand dyed 28ct linen (forgot color ATM) with DMC floss and Rainbow Gallery’s Whisper in White for the steam coming out of it’s nose.

Cross Stitch Sampler Mini Heart

This is a pinkeep that features a Quaker motif sampler stitched in a rustic red color. I stitched this on 16 count Ivory Aida with DMC floss. I lightly coffee stained it to give it an aged look.

I have been cross stitching for a good 6 years and taught myself from a kit my Nan bought me and I fell in love with this craft instantly!  I cross stitch all of my gift tags a few cards and I am currently stitching a big project and i will upload it when it’s done!  I love getting little hand made gifts and I love making them!
